Review "Convicted: A Crooked Cop, An Innocent Man, and an Unlikely Journey of Forgiveness and Friendship" by Jameel McGee & Andrew Collins with Mark Tabb

Hey Everyone!

Got another book done. Would you like to know if I liked it or not? Continue reading and you will find out.

Here we have "Convicted: A Crooked Cop, An Innocent Man, and an Unlikely Journey of Forgiveness and Friendship" by Jameel McGee & Anderw Collins with Mark Tabb. Published 9/19/2017. Wow, say that with one breath, haha! The way the book is described as... (picture of quote below).
Quote (Back of Book)
This has been an interesting book, knowing Jameel (Innocent Man) and Andrew (Crooked Cop) had went through all that, is insane!
Book Cover Published 9/19/2017
Jameel "Zookie" McGee, a man who grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan, as he explains growing up there you needed to be tough if not you'd end up being a drug dealer, life of crime or dead, very little hope for the town, but it doesn't stop him from living there. One day he heard the news of his ex coming over to drop his son off through the excitement he noticed he need to go to the store and get some necessities for his baby boy. He couldn't drive his car because his license was suspended. So he had to ask for a ride, which on of his cousin said sure, but he didn't know his cousin well just know he was relative. Goes in the store to get what he needs, then out he comes all he saw was a man walking towards him and asking, "Where's the dope, man?" (page 8) After that everything went down hill for Jameel.

Andrew Collins, a cop in the same town as Jameel, wanted to become a cop since he was a kid, but when he realized being a cop wasn't a good pay, he started thinking of ways within the precinct of how to make a quicker and much better pay (illegal way). At first, it start out with something small like if he knew 100% that the person was a drug dealer, but couldn't find anything on him, Andrew would say he SAW the person throw the evidence. OR search a vehicle without permission like having a probable cause to search the vehicle (Smelling some kind of narcotics off the vehicle.) He didn't stop there, he continued he false reports/evidence, informants (person who gives information to another), all of it FALSE. Eventually karma get him back. Makes any cases he had would be overturned meaning they would all be free from prison.

Snap a picture of where I was reading.
Such an amazing story, can't believe it even happens, but we all must realize... IT DOES. It's rare that an innocent person goes to prison, but it happens and Andrew knew he was doing wrong, but owns up to it. No reason to lie if he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Now they both had turned to God for guidance. Their faith in God leads them back to each other in some odd ways, but who are they to question the path they take? I'm sure anyone who were in either one of their shoes would walk the other way from the path have taken.

Its not easy to rate these type of books because its their personal experience. It takes a lot of courage to put that part of their life for the world to read. Now don't bash me because of my rating, you may have a different opinion which is fine. I rate this 3 stars (★★★). I enjoyed the book, but I can't sit here and say I'm over the moon for it. It felt like it needed more work to it. I'm not an author or writer, but that's how I feel. My say so shouldn't stop you from getting this book.
